Remembering Steve Jobs (1955-2011)

Steve Jobs, co-founder of Apple Inc., passed away on October 5, 2011. The man who brought us iPad, iPhone, iPod, the man who changed the way we think of the digital world, the man who changed the concept of mobile phone and tablet, the man who revolutionized the technology industry forever has passed away.

We at Indian SEO Company, mourn the loss of Steve Jobs, a true entrepreneur. What he did for Apple, for technology and even for the whole world will be remembered forever.


Not only he was the leading genius in the technology industry but also he was a pioneer in business and product design. Looking back, we cannot but admire so many great achievements by Steve Jobs. Being a great innovator, entrepreneur and visionary his work has greatly improved the lives of people from all stations of life, in all countries and all professions.


The co-founder and, until last August, CEO of Apple Inc was the most celebrated person in technology and business on the planet. No one will take issue with the official Apple statement that “The world is immeasurably better because of Steve.”


Steven Paul Jobs, the visionary who did not graduate college and went on to create one of the most popular and recognizable brands in the world, led an extraordinary life. Starting with the very beginnings of his career, Jobs pioneered the invention of the idea of the personal computer. More recently, he launched products as the CEO of Apple like the iPod, the iPhone and the iPad, which have undoubtedly changed the world in a substantial way.


Jobs started out with modest beginnings. A Washington Post article stated that Jobs started when he was only 21 years old, rocketing his company, Apple, to multimillion-dollar status in five years, just to be forced out. After he left Apple, he started another firm, Next, which was used to create the World Wide Web. Jobs did ultimately return to Apple in his 40s, making a new image for the company that everyone has grown to love. His career was definitely a success.


1976 – Steve Jobs along with Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne founded Apple Inc.
1983 – Steve Jobs looked to marketing expert John Sculley, CEO of Pepsi-Cola, to help fill the role of Apple’s CEO.
1984 – Steve Jobs introduced the Macintosh to a wildly enthusiastic audience.
1985 – Steve Jobs resigned from Apple
1985 – Steve Jobs founded NeXT, Inc
1986 – Steve Jobs bought The Graphics Group (later renamed Pixar)
1990 – The revised, second-generation NeXTcube was released.
1996 – Apple announced that it would buy NeXT
1997 – Steve Jobs join backs Apple Inc.
1998 – iMAC (Bondi Blue) was Apple’s computer for the new millennium. Aimed at the low-end consumer market and designed with the internet in mind, the iMAC was positioned by Apple as the most original new computer since the original Mac in 1984, and came in a stylish new case design, with translucent “Bondi Blue” plastics.
1999 – iMAC 5 Flavors came in 5 dazzling new colors: Blueberry, Strawberry, Lime, Tangerine and Grape.
2000 – iBook (Firewire) was introduced. It’s an innovative new combination video/audio out port, which allowed consumers to watch their DVDs on their TV.
2000 – Steve Jobs became permanent CEO of Apple.
2002 – Apple releases iMac Flat Panel, iPod with touch wheel, Power Mac G4 (Quick Silver) and Power Mac G4 (Mirrored drive doors).
2003 – Apple releases Power Mac G5.
2005 – Apple releases iPod Photo and iMac G5.
2007 – Apple entered the cellular phone business with the introduction of the iPhone, a multi-touch display cell phone, which also included the features of an iPod and, with its own mobile browser, revolutionized the mobile browsing scene.
2008 – Apple releases Time Capsule, iPhone 3G, iPod Nano 4th generation, iPod Classic, Mac book and Mac Book Pro.
2009 – A survey by Junior Achievement selected Steve Jobs as the most admired entrepreneur among teenagers.
November 5, 2009 – Fortune Magazine named Steve Jobs the CEO of the decade.
December 2010 – The Financial Times named Steve Jobs its person of the year for 2010.
August, 2011 – Steve Jobs resigned as CEO of Apple, but remained at the company as chairman of the company’s board.
September 2011 – Steve Jobs was ranked No.17 on Forbes: The World’s Most Powerful People.
October 5, 2011 – Steve Jobs died at his home in Palo Alto, California, age 56.
